Automotive Technology (Auto Body/Auto Technology)

Bay Custom Inc. $500 Honorarium:
Alex Harrison a Grafton High School senior attending the Auto Collision program at the Butler Farm campus.  He is currently working at Suttle motors and will continue after graduation.

Bob Baker $500 Honorarium:
Justin Firth a Poquoson high school senior and a second year Automotive Technician student at the Butler Farm campus.  He is currently employed by Pomoco Chrysler.

Hampton Roads Auto Collision Association $500 Honorarium:
Joshua Rudolph of Phoebus High School a senior attending the Auto Body program at the Butler Farm Campus and is wanting to pursue a career with a local Auto Collision business.  

Construction Technology (Carpentry/Electricity/HVAC)

Association of General Contractors $500 Honorarium:
Matthew “Curtis” Domingues a Menchville High School senior attending the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning program at the Butler Farm campus. He is a current employed by Back River Heating and Cooling.

Guernsey-Tingle $500 Honorarium:
Phillip Corson a Lafayette High School senior attending the Electricity and Renewable Energy program at the Butler Farm campus.  He plans to further his electrical training by attending Newport News Shipbuilding’s Apprentice School in the fall as an X30 Electrician.

Ritchie Curbow $500 Honorarium:
Bryce Buchanan a Poquoson High School senior attending the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning program at the Butler Farm campus. He is a current employed by The House Call Company.

York/Poquoson Cooperative Extension Agency $333 Honorarium:
Jonathan Walker a Phoebus High School senior attending the Carpentry Program at the Woodside Lane campus. He is currently employed at One of a Kind Construction Company.

York/Poquoson Master Gardeners $333 Honorarium:
Amber Kunich a Warwick High School senior who has completed two programs at New Horizons: Carpentry and Criminal Justice. She will be working while she attends Thomas Nelson Community College to pursue a degree in business.
Eric Nolan a Bruton High School senior who has completed two years of Carpentry as well as Auto Body Prep at the Woodside Lane campus and plans to pursue employment in the Construction field.
Niklas Ramirez a Warhill High School senior attending the Carpentry III student at the Woodside Lane campus. He plans to pursue employment within the Construction field.

Engineering/Manufacturing Technology (Electronics/Mechatronics/Welding) & Information Technology (Computer Systems Technology)

Hampton Roads Public Works Academy $2000 Scholarship:
Adrian Dillard a Heritage High School senior and a second year Electronics and Robotics student at the Butler Farm campus. He has been accepted into Rochester Institute of Technology and plans to major in engineering.

Gloucester Point Rotary $1000 Scholarship:
Seth Fracasse a Gloucester High School senior and second year Robotics and Fiber Optics student at the Butler Farm campus. After graduation he plans to attend Thomas Nelson Community College while working as an electrician.

Mark W. Orton Memorial $1,000 Scholarship:
Scottinae Hatchett a Heritage High School senior who is in the first class of Mechatronics at the Butler Farm campus.  She will be attending Norfolk State University to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Robert Locher a Tabb High School senior attending is a second year welding student and foreman at the Butler Farm campus.   This student is also the first place district winner in the category of welding for SKILLS USA and the second place state winner.  He will be attending James Madison University in the area of Manufacturing.

Arconic Foundation $500 Scholarship:
Steven Kassel a Grafton High School senior attending the Mechatronics program at the Butler Farm campus.  Upon graduation he will attend Virginia Western Community college to earn an associate’s degree in Mechatronics.

New Horizons Education Foundation $500 Scholarship:
Sudershan Rawal a Warwick High School senior attending the Computer Systems Technology program at the Butler Farm campus.  He plans to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University to pursue a degree in computer modeling and data analysis.

Poquoson City School Board $500 Scholarship:
Andrew Jarvis a Poquoson High School senior attending the Mechatronics program at the Butler Farm campus. He has earned 23 dual enrollment credits through the Mechatronics program. He will continue to complete his associate degree at TNCC with plans to transfer into Mechanical Engineering.

Arconic $500 Honorarium:
Dugan Goodman a senior at the Center for Autism and is a second year Robotics student at the Butler Farm Campus.  He will be employed by Canon Virginia as a repair technician.
Ben Hurd a Gloucester High School senior who is a second year Electronics and Robotics student at the Butler Farm campus.   Upon graduation he plans to further his studies at Newport News Shipbuilding’s apprentice school.

Training Modernization Group $333 Honorarium:
Ethan Jouhet a Menchville High School senior and a second year welding student at the Butler Farm campus.  He has applied to Newport News Shipbuilding as a welder.
Garrison Lowther a Gloucester High School senior and a second year Welding student at the Woodside Lane campus. He has applied for several Welding positions in the local area.
Jose Melendez a Denbigh High School senior and a second year welding student at the Butler Farm campus.  He has applied to Newport News Shipbuilding as a welder.

Health Services (Dental Assistant/Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant/Pharmacy Technician/Vet Science)

New Horizons Education Foundation $2,000 Scholarship:
Heather Clements a Menchville High School senior attending the Veterinary Science Program at the Woodside Lane campus. She will continue her training at Old Dominion University to pursue a degree in Cytotechnology.
Destiny Flanagan a Hampton High School senior attending the Medical Assistant program at the Butler Farm campus.  She will be attending Georgia State University to pursue a degree in public health service management.
Tram Nguyen a Kecoughtan High School senior attending the Medical Assistant program at the Butler Farm campus.  She will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University towards her goal of becoming a laboratory technician or a family physician.
Eniola Oluwatoki a Bethel High School senior attending the Nursing Assistant program at the Butler Farm campus.  She will be attending the University of Maryland Eastern Shore to major in biology.

New Horizons Education Foundation $1,500 Scholarship:
Hannah Campbell a Kecoughtan High School senior attending the Nursing Assistant program at the Butler Farm campus.  She will be attending the Virginia Commonwealth University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.  Her career goal is to become a nurse practitioner in a trauma room.

Oyster Point Rotary $1500 Scholarship:
Anh Do a Denbigh High School senior attending the Pharmacy Technician’s Program at the Woodside Lane campus. She has passed the State Pharmacy Technician’s exam and will be employed as a Pharmacy Technician while she continues her education in the medical field at Thomas Nelson Community College.

The Page Minter Memorial with York Education Foundation $1250 Scholarship:
Morgan Hallett a Bruton High School senior attending the Veterinary Science Program at the Woodside Lane campus. She will be attending the College of Southern Maryland to pursue a degree in Animal Science.

Marshall & Tess Matteson $1,000 Scholarship:
Sophia Allen a Tabb High School senior attending the Veterinary Science program at the Woodside Lane campus. She will continue her education at Longwood University to pursue a Communications degree with a concentration in Public Relations.
Sydney Snyder a Jamestown High School senior attending the Pharmacy Technician’s Program at the Woodside Lane Campus.  She has passed the State Pharmacy Technician’s Exam and will be working as a Pharmacy Technician while enrolled at Thomas Nelson Community College with the plan of transferring to Tidewater Community College to obtain a degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Poquoson School Board $500 Scholarship:
Cailah Belvin a Poquoson High School senior attending the Veterinary Science Program at the Woodside Lane campus. She will be attending Old Dominion University to pursue a degree in Marine Biology.

Jones, Blechman, Woltz, & Kelly $500 Honorarium:
Kelley Phillips a Kecoughtan High School senior and a second year Dental Assistant student at the Butler Farm campus. She plans to pursue her career in a dental clinic upon graduation.

New Horizons Education Foundation $500 Honorarium:
Carlos Matos-Pacheco a Woodside High School senior and has completed both the Pharmacy Technician’s Program and the Criminal Justice Program at the Woodside Lane Campus. He has passed the State Pharmacy Technician’s exam and is working as a Pharmacy technician at CVS.  He plans to continue working and pursuing his goal of becoming a Pharmacist.
Desiree Walker a Hampton High School senior and is a second year Dental Assistant student at the Butler Farm campus of New Horizons.  She is currently an intern for Dr. Clark’s dental office and pursuing full-time employment upon graduation.
Rebekah Williams a Denbigh High School senior and a second year Dental Assistant student at the Butler Farm campus.  She is currently an intern at Dr. Graham’s dental clinic.  She plans to both work and attend Thomas Nelson Community college to pursue a career in dental hygiene.

Personal Services (Cosmetology/Culinary Arts/Early Childhood Education)

Donald Norton $1500 Scholarship:
Daniel Sweet a Woodside High School senior who has completed two years of Culinary Arts at the Woodside Lane campus. He has already been taking classes at Stratford University through the early college program and plans to continue his education at James Madison University to obtain a degree in Dietetics.

Oyster Point Rotary $1000 Scholarship:
Dezhana Shields-Tucker a Heritage High School senior attending her second year as a Cosmetology student at the Butler Farm campus.  She is currently employed at Supercuts’ and will be attending North Agricultural State University for a degree in Sports Management and Fitness.

Principal’s Award Scholarship:
$1,500 Scholarship – Victoria Wright a Bethel High School senior who is a second year cosmetology student at the Butler Farm campus.  She plans to attend Old Dominion University.
$1,000 Scholarship – Sara Lowry a Yorktown High School senior and is a second year student in the Early Childhood Education program at the Butler Farm campus.  She plans to attend Thomas Nelson Community College to begin her degree in Early Childhood education.

New Horizon Education Foundation $500 Honorarium:
Daesia Dixon a Warwick High School senior at who has completed two years in the Culinary Arts Program at the Woodside Lane campus. She will be employed in the Culinary Field while pursuing her culinary training at the Art Institute of Virginia.
Hunter Payne a Tabb High School senior who has completed two years in the Barbering Program at the Woodside Lane. He has passed his State Barber’s License exam.
Crystal Peck a Bethel High School senior who is a second year Cosmetology student at the Butler Farm.  She is currently employed full time at Supercuts.
Brenda Riquelme a Jamestown High School senior and is a second year Early Childhood Education student at the Butler Farm. She will begin her studies at Thomas Nelson Community college while being employed at Busch Gardens.

Santita Green $500 Honorarium:
Baylee Baker a Warhill High School senior who has completed two years in the Cosmetology Program at the Woodside Lane campus. She has passed her Cosmetology State Board and is pursuing her career as a Stylist.

Public Services (Criminal Justice/Fire Fighter/EMT)

New Horizons Education Foundation $2,000 Scholarship:
Ashley Gibson a Grafton High School senior attending the Criminal Justice Program at the Woodside Lane campus. Upon graduation she will attend the University of Alabama pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.

Vernon “Rock” Routten Memorial, Wythe Exchange $2,000 Scholarship:
Kiara Bond a Phoebus High School senior attending the Emergency Medical Technician program at the Butler Farm campus. She will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall to pursue a degree in biology on a pre-medicine advisory tract.  Her career goal is to become an Obstetrician/Gynecologist with a specialization in high risk pregnancy.

Oyster Point Rotary Club $1,000 Scholarship:
Carol Medel-Perez a Warwick High School senior attending the Criminal Justice Program at the Woodside Lane campus.  Upon graduation she will enroll at Thomas Nelson Community College and transfer to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in pre-law.

New Horizons Education Foundation $500 Honorarium:
Amaja Bishop a Bethel High school senior attending the Criminal Justice program at the Butler Farm campus. After graduation she plans to continue working while furthering her studies in criminal justice.
Alexander Stephen a senior at the Campus at Lee and is attending the Criminal Justice program at the Butler Farm campus.  He plans to work in the field while he continues his education after graduation.

Roger Tomlinson Memorial $500 Honorarium:
Anthony Steele a Woodside High School senior attending the Criminal Justice Program at the Woodside Lane Campus. Upon graduation he will enroll at Thomas Nelson Community College where he has already taken courses in the early college program and plans to pursue a career in the Law Enforcement Field.
