Eligibility

Under the youth program all individuals must meet eligibility requirements prescribed under the WIA legislation.  An individual is eligible if they are;

  • Between ages of 14-21 and
  • Low income as defined by current schedules and
  • Falls under one or more of the following categories:
    • Deficient in basic literacy skills
    • School Dropout
    • Homeless, runaway or foster child
    • Pregnant or parenting
    • Offender
    • Is an individual who needs additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold employment
