If you encounter a problem while using the online application system, please send a detailed email regarding your problem or question to the following email address: virginia.price@nhrec.org. Please include GSST Apps in the subject line of your email.

Apply to the Governor’s School

If you are a current tenth grade student you may create a new application to the Governor’s School. Student applications are due by February 14.

Families of 8th and 9th grade students, please visit our Information for Prospective Students page and sign up for the Prospective Student Pipeline (PSP) Newsletter.

Before getting started, make sure you have the following information:

• your student ID number
• your email address
• email address of your current high school counselor
• email addresses of your current math and science teachers

Important updates and notifications will be sent via email using data you provide in your application. Please make sure that the email addresses you provide are valid and working before submitting your application.

Remember: it is your responsibility to follow up with your counselor and teachers to confirm they have received notifications from our system concerning your application.

Students: Manage Recommendation Requests

If one of your teachers never received an email containing a link to the teacher recommendation form or you entered an email address incorrectly, you can use the below page to resend a recommendation form. Click the button below to get started. Requests can be resent by visiting the recommendation center, cancelling the initial request and resending to either the same teacher or a new teacher.

Applicants: Please share this video with your teachers if they have trouble completing the recommendation form. Teachers can also reach out to technicalsupport@nhrec.org for additional assistance with the online recommendation process.

Counselors

Access to the Powerschool Enrollment Portal is supplied by your Gifted Coordinator or the New Horizons Registrar.
