Beginning March 1, 2022, all New Horizons programs will transition to a mask-optional learning environment for all K-12 students on all campuses. New Horizons will continue to strongly encourage facemask wearing as a critical strategy to reduce the spread of COVID-19. All New Horizons faculty and staff members will continue to wear masks on all campuses per Virginia Department of Labor and Industry guidelines, and while our region is in high transmission per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Additionally, all adults (regardless of vaccination status)
entering any New Horizon campus in any capacity, including adult learners (enrolled in a Center for Apprenticeship and Adult Training or Youth Workforce Center program), tutors, volunteers, guests, or visitors must continue to wear a facemask. The New Horizons Leadership Team and the Medical Taskforce will continue to review and update our mitigation strategies to keep students and staff safe and our campuses open for the remainder of the school year.
Thank you for your continued flexibility, support, and understanding as we navigate the many challenges
