A strong believer in the power to bring about change, Nikiesha has been in the business of developing others for over 25 years. Her career started off in human resources where, as part of the management team, she performed many of the HR functions for the organization, including training and performance management. She moved on to pursue an advanced degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology to learn more about how to improve individual, team, and organizational performance. When she was asked as a graduate student to design and facilitate a career exploration program for middle and high school minority students, Ms. Virgil threw herself into the project wholeheartedly. She continued to work in academic enrichment programs for young adults, supervising learning centers, and designing curriculum. Upon graduation, she turned her attention to tertiary level research and education where she performed a variety of roles to include researcher, professor, and supervisor.  As a Coach, Instructional Designer, and Facilitator for the Department of Human Services, Nikiesha utilized her extensive knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm in workforce development to help individuals reach their personal and professional goals.  Nikiesha is a champion of the youth and an advocate for the marginalized in our communities. She has a passion for serving others and counts it as her privilege to be able to lead the exceptional team at the Youth Workforce Center as the Program Coordinator.
